The Berry Courthouse

The Building has been renovated .... the Gardens have been created .... now the third and most exciting phase ..... ... to make the Courthouse Sustainable.

Our Objectives :-

1. To collect sufficient rainwater to supply all requirements for both the building and the gardens.
2. To process all stormwater and waste water on site.
3. To generate electrical energy in excess of requirements from solar panels and to supply excess energy to the grid generating income to assist the running costs of the courthouse.
4. To install a weather station measuring rainfall, sunshine, temperature and wind velocity.
5. To install a computer system to measure and keep data of :-
1. All water collected and used.
2. All power generated, used internally and exported to the electrical grid.
3. All weather data.
6. To combine all of the above features into an educational system for both adults and children to visit and learn about the possibilities of sustainable living in their own lives.
