- 1871 ~ the first Police Constable appointed to Broughton Creek.
- 1872 ~ Court of Petty Sessions established at Broughton Creek.
- 1889 ~ David Berry donates 1 acre of land for the Courthouse.
- 1890 ~ Tenders called for erection of Courthouse on 21st March.
- 1890 ~ Tenders accepted on 17th of June.
- 1890 ~ The Courthouse Building designed by James Barnet, a Colonial Architect from 1865 to 1890.
- 1890/91 ~ the Courthouse was built by H. and P. Ettingshausen.
- 1890/91 ~ construction cost 1,658 pounds 10 shillings and 7 pence.
- 1895 ~ the Police Lockup was erected - a residence, 3 cells, and an exercise yard.
- 1897 ~ a garden is created from 54 trees and 48 shrubs obtained from the Royal Botanic Gardens.
- 1908 ~ repairs and painting carried out on the Courthouse .
- 1988 ~ use as a courthouse terminated.
- 1992 ~ listed by the National Trust on 28th of October.
- 1994 ~ Courthouse was auctioned and sold into private ownership on 24th of September.
- 1994/99 ~ long and vigorous fight by local residents against development proposals.
- 1997/99 ~ local residents attempt to get the courthouse back into community hands.
- 1999 ~ Shoalhaven Council purchase the Courthouse on 31st May.
- 1999 ~ the Courthouse leased to the Berry Alliance .
- 1999/2004 ~ Berry Community renovating the building.
- 1999/2006 ~ Berry Garden Club creating landscaped gardens.
